books and music

Question:  What do all of the following song titles have in common?

"Bad Connection" by Yaz (aka Yazoo)
"Epitaph for the Heart" by The Magnetic Fields
"Dead Sound" by The Raveonettes
"Girlfriend in a Coma" by The Smiths
"Imitation of Life" by REM
"Back in Your Head" by Tegan and Sara
"Bird on the Wire" by Leonard Cohen
"This is How I Disappear" by My Chemical Romance
"She Sells Sanctuary" by The Cult
"Die Young, Stay Pretty" by Blondie
"Shadow of Doubt" Sonic Youth
"Pretty Vacant" by Sex Pistols
"Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order
"Tomorrow Never Knows" by The Beatles
"Alone Again Or" by The Damned (my preferred version) or Calexico
"We Will Become Silhouettes" by The Postal Service
"This Must Be the Place" by Talking Heads

Answer:  The song titles are all chapter titles in the book I'm currently reading.  Odd thing is that the book was written/published in 2009.
